2024-25 Tennessee Lady Volunteers Basketball Roster Announced
Coach Kellie Harper Unveils Talented Squad for Upcoming Season
Knoxville, Tenn. -
University of Tennessee head coach Kellie Harper has announced the official roster for the 2024-25 Lady Volunteers basketball team. The squad features a mix of returning players and highly touted newcomers, poised to make a strong run in the SEC and beyond.
The roster is highlighted by the return of All-SEC guard Jordan Horston, who averaged 16.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last season. Horston will be joined in the backcourt by fellow senior Rae Burrell, a dynamic scorer and defender.
Among the newcomers is five-star recruit Justine Pissott, a 6'2" forward from Oregon who is expected to make an immediate impact with her athleticism and shooting ability. Pissott will be joined by fellow freshmen Sara Puckett, a 6'1" forward from Texas, and Lily Laweryson, a 6'0" guard from California, both of whom are highly regarded prospects.
"We are excited about the potential of this team," said Harper. "We have a good mix of experience and youth, and I believe we have the pieces in place to compete for championships."
The Lady Vols will open their season on November 9th at home against ETSU. They will then face a challenging non-conference schedule that includes games against Stanford, UConn, and South Carolina.
