The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 112-106 in Game 2 on Sunday night. Everyone on the Celtics roster has contributed to their early success in the series, with five players scoring in double figures in Game 2.
Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 27 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 26 points. Marcus Smart added 21 points, while Al Horford and Robert Williams III each scored 11 points.
The Celtics took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 35-24. They held on to their lead in the fourth quarter, despite a late rally from Dallas.
The Celtics will now have a chance to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series when they host Game 3 on Tuesday night.
